Job Summary
Auto Body Technician responsible for meticulous assessment and repair of vehicles to pre-accident condition; disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles; align chassis/frames, replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts, and perform painting and finishing per factory specifications; ensures repairs meet labor time guidelines and delivers exceptional customer experience through the WOW Operating Way; requires reading job orders, using shop tools (cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, pliers), and collaborating with team to achieve KPIs; strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and quality in a fast-paced body shop environment; prior tech school or apprenticeship experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer
- Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision
- Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop
- Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies
- Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections
