Job Summary
Collision Auto Body Technician responsible for inspecting, disassembling, repairing, and reassembling vehicles to restore pre-accident condition. Performs dent/damage repair, chassis realignment, component replacement (glass, interior parts, and accessories), welding and painting, and ensuring work meets labor time guidelines and KPIs. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a technical program or a 3-year apprenticeship; must be able to read job orders, work with minimal supervision, collaborate with other repairers, and operate auto body repair tools safely in a noisy environment. Emphasis on delivering a positive customer experience and upholding brand standards. Compensation ranges from $20-$29 per hour with potential bonuses, benefits, and a structured pay model; location is Columbus, GA with on-site work.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer
- Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision
- Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop
- Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies
- Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade
