Job Summary
Auto Body Technician responsible for assessing and repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. Duties include disassembling, repairing, and reassembling vehicles; realigning chassis and frames to fix structural damage; replacing or repairing parts, glass, and interiors; welding and reattaching components; preparing and repainting vehicles; planning repair work and preparing cost estimates; using tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers; aiming to meet labor-time KPIs and deliver a quality customer experience; requires ability to read job orders, work with others in a shop, and operate trade tools; physical requirements include lifting up to 30 pounds and working in a noisy environment. Education path includes high school diploma or equivalent plus technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship. Comp provides $20-$29 per hour, flat-rate compensation, with potential bonuses.
