Job Summary
Assess and repair customer vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition, ensuring consistent execution of the WOW Operating Way plan. Plan necessary repairs, prepare cost estimates, and utilize tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, and hydraulic jacks to disassemble, reassemble, and fix structural damage. Hammers out dents, apply filler resins, realign frames, replace damaged sections, and weld or attach parts. Repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint and inspect work after repair to complete orders within labor time guidelines. Requires high school diploma, technical school completion, or apprenticeship; must work safely in noisy areas with odors, lift up to 30 pounds, and perform physical tasks including bending and squatting. Flat rate compensation ranges from $65,000 to $125,000+ annually.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer
- Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision
- Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop
- Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies
- Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade
- Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
- Must be able to visually inspect vehicle damage in a variety of weather conditions
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections
