Job Summary
Conduct site inspections, attend industry networking events, and collaborate with senior engineers on civil, surveying, and structural engineering projects. Complete training modules and gain real-life insight into consulting engineering through mentoring from experienced professionals. Internships may run for 12 weeks over summer vacation fulltime or two days per week for a semester. Applications close 24th August 2026. Submit a 500-word statement, detailed CV, academic transcript, and references. Be an Australian permanent resident or student visa holder with working rights.
Required Qualifications
- Permanent Resident of Australia or student visa holder with working rights
- 500 word statement highlighting passion for engineering and reasons for suitability
- Detailed CV including previous vacation work/internship details
- Year 12 ATAR (including subjects and exam marks or equivalent)
- Formal university academic transcript from Year 1 to current semester
- References including one academic, employer and or character reference
Desired Qualifications
- Civil engineering students in their penultimate year of a Bachelor degree, first year of Masters, or PhD in Civil Engineering at the University of Western Australia (UWA)
- Nomination of prizes recognising academic merit for specific units and current or previous scholarships held
