Job Summary
Adjunct Faculty member for College Writing (LITC-100) responsible for teaching and evaluating students, maintaining office hours, advising students, and upholding college policies. Duties include preparing daily lesson plans, delivering instruction, providing regular feedback and timely grading, submitting grades per policy, compiling instructional materials, using the syllabus/textbooks, managing attendance and grade distributions, enforcing sanitation and professional policies, supporting the institute’s mission, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires Bachelor’s Degree with 1 year teaching experience (1–3 years in related topic area preferred); strong communication, teamwork, and presentation skills; and proficiency with MS Office and Moodle. Available to work the course schedule, including nights and weekends as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of one year of teaching experience
- One to three years of work experience in the related topic area
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to be adaptable, dependable and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Strong computer experience, including MS Office
- Must be able to work independently or in a team
- Must have the ability to maintain welcoming presence in front of guests and employees
- Moodle experience preferred
