Job Summary
College Pathways Advisor at Texas State Technical College (TSTC) in Waco oversees and guides prospective students through the admissions journey. Responsibilities include managing student applicant caseload, advising on enrollment, financial aid, and progression; coordinating with Admissions, Registrar, Operations, and Faculty to ensure effective communication; implementing recruitment strategies targeting high school students, educators, and community members; promoting dual credit opportunities, workforce training programs, and college readiness initiatives to increase enrollment; handling admissions tasks, document collection, and data entry to maintain accurate records and meet monthly engagement and semester goals; engaging with diverse community locations, attending events at high schools to provide program information and assist with applications; maintaining confidentiality and integrity of records; leveraging Microsoft Office and data-analysis tools to track outreach and prepare reports; collaborating with multiple departments to support student success and improve communications; note: TSTC emphasizes equal opportunity in employment, education, and admissions, and requires an Employment Eligibility Verification I-9 process and background checks for finalists.
Required Qualifications
- Some College or Associate’s Degree preferred
- 1-3 years preferred experience in customer services
- 1-3 years preferred experience in recruitment, enrollment or admissions
- Strong communication skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency
