Job Summary
Conduct nursing assessments, provide first aid and emergency care, and perform health screenings for students, staff, and faculty. Deliver disease prevention information and lead wellness seminars while serving as a liaison with local health departments. Oversee the university's mandatory immunization program and refer patients to emergency services or appropriate providers. Work autonomously within established policies, serve on university committees, and report non-identifying information regarding sexual misconduct incidents. Requires a licensed registered nurse with three to five years of experience in ambulatory or student health settings.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed registered nurse or CRNP in the State of Maryland
- Minimum of a baccalaureate degree in nursing
- CPR certification
- Minimum of three to five years of nursing experience in an ambulatory care setting, student health services, an emergency department(s) in acute care in an emergency department(s) or urgent care setting
- Ability to work autonomously
- Strong clinical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Some occasional night/weekend work
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing
- CRNP
