Job Summary
College Marketing Representative overseeing campus and local marketing for The Orchard's artists. Lead in-person marketing initiatives at campus venues and local record stores, build relationships with campus media, student organizations, and influencers, create social content to support artist releases, organize listening events and campus activations, and report on campaign performance. Role focuses on developing authentic community engagement, promoting artists through digital and on-site efforts, researching demographic opportunities (18–24), attending artist shows for promotion, and delivering actionable marketing insights. Hours are 20 per week in a part-time capacity, with emphasis on creativity, social media savvy, and strong communication to advance artist visibility within the Houston campus ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
- Must be an undergraduate student enrolled in a four-year university in Houston with at least 2 years left before graduation
- Able to manage own hours and be accountable for the work
- Availability of 20 hours per week
- Passion for music and understanding of how peers discover and consume music
- Active presence creating content on social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Transportation within 30 minutes of Houston
- Flexible schedule for team conference calls and tour coverage
