Job Summary
College Counseling Administrative Assistant supports the College Counseling Office in a fast-paced, collaborative setting, serving as a key point of contact for students, families, and external institutions. Responsibilities include scheduling meetings for students and families with college counselors; coordinating campus visits and communications with college representatives; processing and submitting all school application materials; delivering direct instruction to students about the college application process; conducting mock interviews; coordinating PSAT and AP testing administration; planning and resourcing College Counseling Office programs; maintaining student records in SCOIR and College Kickstart; updating office materials annually; and assisting with annual reporting to the Board of Trustees. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite and familiarity with SCOIR and College Kickstart; fluency in English and a demonstrated commitment to anti-racist/anti-bias education; and a willingness to acquire new skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Superb interpersonal, communication, organizational, public speaking, writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Must be highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite required; familiarity with SCOIR and College Kickstart strongly preferred
- Technologically savvy and comfortable
- Fluency in English
- Knowledge of, appreciation for, and demonstrated commitment to anti-racist and anti-bias education
- Willingness to acquire new skills
