Job Summary

The College Completion Mentor Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for students navigating college, delivering 1:1 navigation sessions, Brotherhood Huddles, career readiness support, and College Comeback re-engagement across the region. Responsibilities include warm handoffs, summer melt prevention outreach, milestone tracking (FAFSA/CADAA, applications, enrollment, orientation), internship pre-placement preparation, transfer support for community college students, quarterly and annual check-ins, family engagement events, and documentation in Salesforce within 24 hours. The role requires field-based work at assigned local school campuses with a schedule that includes occasional weekends and evenings; ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree, strong knowledge of higher education pathways and financial aid, and effective multi-phase caseload management, with proficiency in Salesforce and Spanish preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required
  • Strong understanding of community college, transfer pathways, financial aid, and 4-year graduation requirements
  • Ability to manage a multi-phase caseload with tiered intensity and consistent follow-through
  • Comfort with technology and data systems (Salesforce experience preferred)
  • Excellent communication and management skills that can inspire and push others to accomplish goals
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm; some weekends, evenings, and organization-wide events are required
