Job Summary
Supports Tribal K12 college and career readiness programs through design and facilitation of programs and workshops, tutoring and mentoring students, leading or assisting in cultural and community-engagement activities, and collaborating with school staff and community leaders to deliver culturally relevant programs. Travel to or residence in designated tribal communities is required to deliver programs and services, with a focus on helping students prepare for post-secondary education and careers. Responsibilities include program design and facilitation, tutoring/mentoring, cultural program leadership, community engagement, and travel to designated communities; requires high school diploma or equivalent and willingness to travel. Driving is not required. This is a grant-funded, part-time position with ASU and ASU-based departments coordinating across multiple Phoenix area locations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (or any equivalent combination of experience and/or training)
- Willingness to travel and reside in tribal communities as required
- Experience designing and facilitating educational programs/workshops or tutoring/mentoring
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Desire to support Tribal K12 students in college and career readiness
