Job Summary
College Admissions Coach position offering hybrid work with occasional in-person sessions around Philadelphia; responsibilities include regular 60-minute advising sessions via Zoom, managing deadlines, assigning tasks, responding to inquiries, mentoring students through personal statements and resumes, and collaborating with a team to support 9-12, transfer, grad school, and gap-year students. Requires expertise in U.S. college admissions, strong written and verbal communication, ability to work with students across geographic locations, availability after school and on weekends, and a year-long commitment with an expected ~20 hours/week. Compensation ranges from $24.00 to $32.75 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from or worked at a top 50 university or top 20 liberal arts college
- Former college admissions officer experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Detailed knowledge of the U.S. college admissions process
- Experience in an educational or academic support role
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and students
- Availability during typical after-school hours and on weekends
- Efficient time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to commit to work with students for one year or the end of the admission cycle
- Expected commitment: approximately 20 hours per week
