Job Summary
COLLEGE ACCESS ADVISOR coordinates and delivers comprehensive college access guidance to a caseload of 60-65 high school seniors using the Bottom Line LEAD model. Responsibilities include helping students identify college options, brainstorm and finalize essays, ensure timely submission of applications, guide FAFSA/CSS Profile and financial aid decisions, track student progress in the database, support recruitment and onboarding of new cohorts, and conduct regular 60-minute student meetings at in-person and off-site locations. The role emphasizes individualized planning, data-driven progress tracking, timely communication (2 business days response), and collaboration with the program team to meet deadlines and promote college readiness. Travel up to 50% locally is expected; the position operates in a in-person first, hybrid program model with periods of remote work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Work authorization
- 1+ years of related work experience
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Experience developing trusting relationships with students
- Valid driver’s license, with access to a car strongly preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to Bottom Line’s mission, vision, and core values
- Demonstrated proficiency and/or growth potential in Bottom Line's seven core competencies: Relationships, Results, Communication, Inclusiveness, Talent Development, Agility, and Planning
- The ability to make a minimum of a two-year commitment
