Job Summary
Collector responsible for the collection and resolution of delinquent auto loan/lease accounts. Handles telephone, automated dialer, and written communications in a fast-paced collections environment, documents conversations, and offers programs to minimize delinquency while meeting daily/weekly production goals. Maintains compliance with collection standards and policies, protects sensitive customer information, and applies skip tools to locate accounts for resolution. May recommend repossession or legal action and ensures adherence to FDCPA and applicable laws.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Minimum 2 years customer facing related experience and/or 1 year collection-related experience
- Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance of one of the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Phoenix, AZ
- Knowledge of and compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, local, state, and federal collection laws
- Authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship)
Desired Qualifications
- Moderate computer knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
- Ability to recognize problems, resolve or escalate as needed
- Speak and listen effectively to customers via phone, and tolerate stressful interactions with customers
- Multi-task in a high energy standard office and/or home environment
- Knowledge of and compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, local, state, and federal collection laws
