Collector 2

Collector 2 analyzes and interprets Managed Care contract language, terms and responsibility matrices; conducts telephone and written follow-up with insurance payers to ensure timely payments for inpatient and outpatient hospital bills; ensures payer adherence to compliance laws and determines if additional information is needed, escalates as appropriate, and develops collection recovery strategies to maximize reimbursement and closure. The role requires intermediate knowledge of automated billing and adjudication systems (e.g., LLEAP/Epic, Assurance, DDE, FISS), familiarity with UB04, CPT, HCPCS, ICD10, EOB, and the ability to read, write, and communicate professionally in English; strong problem solving, multi-tasking, attention to detail, and independent work capability. Licensure/certification not required. Education/experience: minimum three years in healthcare billing, auditing, managed care or collections; preferred hospital billing.
