Collections Specialist - Solar Industry (Remote)

Job Summary
Collections Specialist in the solar industry responsible for managing a portfolio of residential and commercial accounts to recover outstanding balances. Responsibilities include negotiating payment commitments, de-escalating issues through active listening and problem-solving, performing skip tracing, documenting activities in Salesforce/Zuora, and ensuring compliance while delivering a positive customer experience. Candidate will handle outbound/inbound communications, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate with teams to meet KPIs related to dollars collected and call volumes. Remote role with US/Eastern/Central TZ alignment and night-shift considerations in the Philippines; prior experience in billing/collections and proficiency with Salesforce and billing systems is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in collections, preferably in solar/renewable energy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of billing and collections procedures
- Experience with skip tracing tools and investigative techniques
- Proficiency in Excel
- Salesforce experience required (Zuora or similar billing systems preferred)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growing environment
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative
- Customer-service orientation with focus on retention and satisfaction
