Job Summary
Evaluate resident accounts to identify overdue balances, contact customers by phone, email, or mail regarding outstanding balances, negotiate payment plans, maintain detailed records of collection activities, process payments and update account information, collaborate with internal departments to resolve account discrepancies, prepare aging reports and collection status updates, and ensure compliance with company policies and debt collection regulations. Focus on responsibilities for collecting on overdue accounts, customer communications, negotiation of payment arrangements, record-keeping, and cross-functional coordination as part of a team-driven environment.
Required Qualifications
- Possess effective communications skills and be able to handle difficult conversations with tact, professionalism, and cooperation.
- Ability to understand and interpret financial concepts.
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task to meet project deadlines.
- Knowledgeable in MS Suite; with the ability to effectively work on a computer and adapt to various company programs and applications.
