Job Summary
Oversee the strategy, operations, and performance of the Collections Department while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and FCCU regulations. Lead a high-performing team focused on reducing delinquency and losses through account extensions, modifications, repossessions, foreclosures, and loss mitigation efforts. Develop collection strategies that drive portfolio performance and partner with Lending, Finance, and executive leadership to achieve organizational goals. Analyze delinquency trends and loss metrics to identify improvement opportunities, manage third-party agencies, and resolve complex member situations with sound judgment. Prepare performance reports and strategic initiatives for senior leadership while fostering a culture of accountability and service excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible collections or default management experience
- At least 3 years of leadership experience managing teams and driving performance
- Strong understanding of collections regulations, bankruptcy processes, loss mitigation strategies, and recovery practices
- Proven ability to analyze financial and operational data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and employee development skills
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with secured and unsecured consumer lending collections
- Real estate and commercial loan collections experience
