Job Summary
Collections Associate responsible for ensuring assigned customer accounts remain current and reflect all financial transactions, actively pursuing outstanding payments, and timely collection of receivables. Responsibilities include generating and distributing Statements of Account (SOAs), using Transportation Management Systems to verify invoice status, maintaining communication with customer AP contacts to secure payment commitments, addressing customer inquiries and disputes, and resolving unapplied cash to ensure proper application of funds to invoices. Requires an accounting/finance/business background with strong detail orientation, communication, and organizational skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. On-site, M-F, at our downtown Indianapolis, IN office.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of accounts receivable / collections experience in a fast paced, high-volume position
- Prior logistics industry experience a plus
- Intermediate to advanced computer knowledge
- Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods
- Full time, in office position
