Collections Analyst (Term Role)

Job Summary
Proactively manage assigned customer portfolios to ensure timely payments and adherence to credit terms by contacting clients on overdue invoices and negotiating payment arrangements. Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes in collaboration with Sales, Customer Service, and Billing, while partnering with Cash Applications to correct unapplied payments. Perform account reconciliations, maintain complete interaction notes, and update collection status for weekly reporting and AFDA recommendations. Identify recurring issues, conduct root cause analysis, and provide recommendations for process improvements. Submit credit limit review requests to the Credit department and recommend accounts for escalation or third-party collections as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of collections, credit, or accounts receivable experience in a B2B environment
- Experience with dispute resolutions, account reconciliations and root cause analysis
- Proficiency with ERP systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills (sorting, filtering, lookups, pivot tables, and preparing reconciliations/basic analysis)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt style to different audiences
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to prioritize effectively and perform in a high-volume, fast-paced environment under deadlines
- Professional, adaptable, and confident when managing customer interactions
- Comfortable working independently, with the flexibility to collaborate and support the team when needed

Desired Qualifications
- Oil and Gas experience is an asset
- Experience working within a Finance Shared Services model preferred
