Job Summary
Collections/Accounts Receivable Representative supports member recovery by collecting delinquent loan payments, contacting members via phone/email/text/letter, documenting activity in Temenos, and negotiating repayment plans. Responsibilities include skip tracing, identifying loss mitigation candidates, applying policy-driven actions (e.g., freezing credit limits when appropriate), coordinating with the Loan Servicing Department, and providing cross-branch support. The role may require overtime including nights and/or weekends. Requires experience in collections, knowledge of Temenos (AKUVO/Temenos preferred), strong negotiation and communication skills, and a customer-service oriented approach. Bilingual Spanish-friendly is preferred. The position offers full-time hours with a starting pay range of $50,000-$55,000 and comprehensive benefits as part of Affinity Federal Credit Union. The role is remote-compatible with primary location considerations for remote work.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of related collections/accounts receivable experience
- Knowledge of collections platform software (Temenos)
- Basic knowledge of collections laws (preferred)
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking is preferred but not required
