Job Summary
Collection Specialist I responsible for contacting delinquent customers to set up payment arrangements or settlements, handling outbound and inbound calls, processing and posting consumer loan payments, performing file maintenance on consumer loans, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and bank policies. Requires strong communication, customer service, and Microsoft Office skills, with familiarity of Jack Henry Platform and banking processes. May require hours outside of traditional business hours to support collection efforts.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma/GED
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial report and/or legal documents
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Must possess excellent telephone and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Must maintain punctual and regular attendance
