Collection Representative handles high-volume calls to negotiate payment terms for past-due balances on medical accounts. You’ll build rapport with consumers, guide them toward practical payment solutions, maintain accurate notes, and ensure compliance with legal standards (FDCPA and state requirements). The role emphasizes empathy, active listening, and effective communication while working from a private home office in a fully remote, full-time schedule with advancement potential and uncapped earnings. Training starts at $20/hour, transitioning post-training to $17/hour plus performance-based bonuses, with opportunities for higher commissions as performance grows.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work remotely with private home office
- Criminal checks and employment history verification may be required
- Experience in negotiation and collections helpful
- Knowledge of FDCPA and state laws may be beneficial
