Job Summary
SAFE Boats is seeking a Collar Fabricator 1 to operate machinery and perform tasks related to the production and installation of collars and collar systems. Responsibilities include sewing parts and patterns, assembling components with hand and power tools, operating a CNC cutting table to cut non-skid, carpet, and fabric, laminating and forming foam parts, using a hot air welder and an RF welder, assisting in collar installations and foam collar fabrication, preparing finished products for shipping, and maintaining safety and quality standards. The role requires reading basic drawings and measurements, following directions from leads/supervisors/managers, and contributing to process improvements. A High School diploma or equivalent is required; trade school or college training is a plus. Minimum one year of experience in a similar role is preferred, and upholstery experience is a plus. Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Ability to read and utilize a tape measure
- Follow basic drawings and measurements to assemble & fabricate products
- Ability to locate parts or information
- Follow verbal and written directions from leads/supervisors/managers
- Experience with upholstery is a plus
- Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role/field preferred
- Educational background in trade school or college is a plus
