Job Summary
Collaborate with Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners remotely via telemedicine to provide expert guidance on clinical decision-making, diagnosis, and treatment plans. Review patient cases by assessing medical histories and diagnostic data to ensure accurate diagnoses and evidence-based recommendations while adhering to established protocols. Guide and mentor medical staff through regular feedback and case discussions, and triage urgent care cases to determine appropriate care levels or referrals. Maintain accurate documentation for legal and billing compliance, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and stay current with urgent care advancements. Board-certified physicians in Family or Emergency Medicine are required.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted medical license in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience as a Collaborating Physician in an urgent care, emergency department, or telemedicine setting
- Familiarity with telemedicine platforms and technology, including electronic medical records (EMR) systems and video conferencing tools
- Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in urgent care medicine, including the ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of acute medical conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear guidance remotely and establish rapport with PAs, NPs, and patients
- Commitment to maintaining patient privacy, confidentiality, and adhering to legal and ethical standards in telemedicine practice
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing telemedicine workflows
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Successful completion of a residency program in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
- Board Certification in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
