Job Summary
Move pallets of products and supplies within the plant using a forklift, scan and deliver component pallets to the line, and weigh combos for the cooler. Complete necessary forklift maintenance and reports, maintain a safe work environment by monitoring foot traffic, and deliver supplies to designated departments. Remove full pallets from packaging lines, scan and wrap completed pallets, place license plates, and deliver pallets to the shipping area. Identify and resolve material flow issues to prevent production delays, prioritize daily tasks based on schedules and inventory, and maintain a clean, sanitary work area adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices and USDA guidelines. Operate inventory scanning equipment and stand 8-10 hours per day in temperatures below 40 degrees.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Ability to legally work in the United States
- Must have forklift experience
- Must be able to work in temperatures below 40 degrees
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to push and pull items in excess of 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Ability to be certified and Operate: Stand Up Forklift Double Reach, Riding Pallet Jack
- Ability to Operate Inventory Scanning Equipment
- Able to stand 8-10 hours per day
- Able to bend, twist, and stoop on an occasional basis
- Ability to perform frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Must have good hand and eye coordination
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work a minimum of 40 or more hours per week (Overtime if necessary)
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED is preferred
- 1-2 years related work experience is preferred
- Knowledge of GMP and USDA regulations preferred
