Guide metal mechanically from payoff to take-up rolls using wooden sticks, cut jagged edges and scrap with shears, and clear cobbles with pry bars and automatic equipment. Observe metal for defects like tears or cracks, adjust feed speed from the console, and direct roll changes using power cranes and counterweights. Maintain housekeeping by scraping floors and retrieving debris from the payoff pit weekly. Work as a team member to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation while adhering to ISO and IATF quality and safety standards.
