Job Summary
Understand and follow all safety processes and procedures, including required PPE. Read job cards to determine work scope and accurately record winding data from units being rewound. Wind AC, DC fields, armatures, rotors, and equalizers while installing banding as needed. Perform stator core loss testing, restoration of stator irons, and electrical tests. Dip and bake stators and utilize bake ovens to cure varnish treatments. Work with random, mush, synchronous, and form coils while keeping the work area safe, clean, and organized. Handle lifting up to 40 lbs and perform other duties as signed by the Production Manager. Work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays when required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, technical or trade school or on the job training
- Passing the RAM administered Bennett Mechanical Aptitude test
- Passing the RAM administered color deficiency test
- Ability to understand and retain various skill related training and operational and Safety procedures
- Work varying shifts, weekends and holidays when required
- Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 40 lbs
- Occasionally push and pull parts, kneel and crouch
- Continuously stand and frequently walk
