Job Summary
Understand and follow all safety processes and procedures including the use of required PPE. Accurately read and record winding data from units being rewound while performing the winding process of AC/DC motors. Wind AC, DC fields, armatures, wound rotors, and equalizers; install or replace banding on armatures or rotors. Perform stator core loss testing, restoration of stator irons, and electrical tests. Dip and bake stators as required and utilize bake ovens to cure varnish treatments. Keep work area safe, clean, and organized. Work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays when required. Handle lifting of objects up to 40 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, technical or trade school or on the job training
- Passing the RAM administered Bennett Mechanical Aptitude test
- Passing the RAM administered color deficiency test
- Ability to understand and retain various skill related training and operational and Safety procedures
- Work varying shifts, weekends and holidays when required
- Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 40 lbs
- Occasionally push and pull parts, kneel and crouch
- Continuously stand and frequently walk
