Job Summary
Coil Processing Specialist responsible for loading/unloading material into/out of machines, performing in-process inspection to meet customer specifications, and packaging finished steel products for delivery. Maintains clean, safe work area, adheres to PPE and housekeeping practices, and reports accidents or unsafe conditions. Requires reading work orders and safety manuals, basic English comprehension, and ability to operate measuring tools; forklift and overhead crane training is provided. Tasks include palletizing, banding when requested, and maintaining high-quality output in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Required Qualifications
- Able to read and comprehend work orders, instructions, and safety and procedural manuals
- Ability to understand written and verbal communication in English
- Ability to use and interpret tape measurer and other measuring instruments
- Ability to drive a forklift and operate an overhead crane (training and certification provided)
- Physical ability to carry up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to perceive color variations and interpret sounds in a noisy production environment
