Job Summary
Develop and implement individualized and group cognitive remediation programs in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team. Provide direct treatment services in residential and day program settings, conducting sessions to improve cognitive, functional, and adaptive skills. Assist in creating rehabilitation plans based on assessments, monitor progress, and modify interventions as needed. Train caregivers and staff on remediation techniques while recommending adaptive strategies to enhance independence. Participate in team meetings, admissions assessments, and Neurobehavioral Rounds, providing crisis intervention support when required. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with licensing regulations and accreditation standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, Special Education, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Social Work, Recreation Therapy, Sociology, Human Services, or a related field
- Must meet certification criteria established by the Society for Cognitive Rehabilitation
- Must obtain ACBIS (Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists) certification within one year of hire
