Job Summary
Cognitive Performance Specialist responsible for delivering cognitive performance training, assessment, and educational interventions to optimize aircrew performance. Apply sport psychology and human performance optimization, develop curriculum-aligned instruction, integrate cognitive techniques into training and rehabilitation, and support HP program planning, while maintaining field presence in aircrew environments. Responsibilities include planning and validating HP program efficiency, conducting cognitive assessments and interventions, researching and enhancing curriculum, employing simulation and biofeedback tools, delivering courseware and briefings, engaging in interdisciplinary meetings, maintaining documentation and credentials, and mentoring peers pursuing CMPC certification. Travel to other CRAFT sites or TDYs may be required; maintain certifications and stay current on vision-cognition integration and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years providing cognitive performance services
- Experience in collegiate (or higher), professional, or tactical athletics; aerospace industry, test pilot/astronaut or similar man-machine high-performance environment
- Master’s degree in psychology, Counseling, Human Performance, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or Sport Sciences with a specialization in Sport Psychology or similar from an accredited institution/university
- Current certification in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), including Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Training
- Must be able to obtain a favorable Tier 3 security adjudication
