Cognitive Educator PT, Day

Conduct daily cognitive assessments for children and teens on the inpatient rehabilitation unit, including those with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, or multi-trauma. Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team to facilitate student return to school settings by communicating daily progress through reports, charting, phone calls, and conferences. Establish program rules, procedures, and budgets while developing and administering a TBI Education Program to bridge knowledge gaps. Meet with assigned school-aged students to assist with academic skill recovery and maximize transition back to school upon discharge. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Special Education with three years classroom experience and state teacher certification.
