Cognitive Behavioral Specialist

Job Summary
Provide structured behavioral interventions for patients with anxiety, depression, and dementia/cognitive impairment; conduct visits at facilities and patients’ homes in the designated Gainesville service area; travel daily with reliable transportation; manage a caseload, coordinate with primary care and specialty providers, and educate caregivers. Lead caregiver coaching and family education initiatives related to dementia, behavioral health, and aging. Role operates on 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday (8:00 AM–5:00 PM) in a salary-based, full-time capacity. Must be a licensed driver with an insured vehicle and able to travel between offices, facilities, and homes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with individuals with dementia or cognitive impairments
- Experience in roles such as Activities Director, CNA, MA, RN/LPN, or other direct care professionals in geriatrics or memory care settings; license must be in good standing
- Actively enrolled in or willing to enroll in a Dementia certification course
- Dementia Care certification preferred or willingness to pursue certification
- Familiarity with behavioral health medications and interventions for this population
- Ability to read and communicate effectively
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to manage and demonstrate effective leadership skills
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organizational requirements and is in good working order
