Job Summary
Cognitive Behavioral Specialist to support patients with anxiety, depression, and cognitive impairment in a Hilton Head Island clinic; conducts visits, maintains behavioral documentation, implements structured behavioral protocols, educates caregivers, collaborates with primary care and specialists, and travels between facilities. Works Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM in a full-time, salary-based role; requires reliable transportation and ability to travel between offices and facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with individuals with dementia or cognitive impairments
- Experience in roles such as Activities Director, CNA, MA, RN/LPN, or other direct care professionals in geriatrics or memory care settings
- If licensed, license must be in good standing
- Active enrollment in or willingness to enroll in a Dementia certification course
- Dementia Care certification preferred or willingness to pursue certification
- Familiarity with behavioral health medications and interventions for this population
- Ability to read and communicate effectively
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to manage and demonstrate effective leadership skills
- Should demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills under all conditions and circumstances
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
- Team player with ability to manage multiple responsibilities and demonstrate sound judgment
- Must be able to work flexible hours and travel between offices, facilities, etc.
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organizational requirements and is in good working order
