Job Summary
The Barista is responsible for upholding the standard of quality of Bluestone Lane's coffee and beverage program, managing equipment cleaning and maintenance, and maintaining consistent espresso extraction. Responsibilities include training new baristas, providing quality customer service, and managing product rotation and waste. A successful candidate should exhibit strong customer service skills, interact positively with locals, and maintain a clean workspace. This role demands the ability to operate across various functions including machine operation and POS service.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for customer service
- Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced work environment
- Well-organized and detail-oriented
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years working as a Barista in Specialty coffee
- 2+ years working in non-specialty coffee in a high volume fast paced environment
- Experience using a Point of Sale (POS) system
