Job Summary
Greet guests with a warm, sincere smile and ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations by anticipating needs. Prepare menu items according to prescribed recipes, maintain food quality standards, and follow all safety and sanitation guidelines. Take orders, package carryout and delivery items, and accurately record and account for all sales, including gift cards and merchandise. Safely operate the POS system, Frequent Diner, and credit card terminals while reconciling the cash drawer in compliance with policies. Use sales techniques to present promotions and respond knowledgeably to menu questions. Maintain menu item counts, communicate with management when running low, and adhere to food allergy procedures. Available to work a variety of hours, days, and shifts including weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
- Ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
- Ability to multi-task calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
- Able to move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces
- Ability to read a thermometer correctly and accurately
- Proficiency in the use and operation of all necessary tools and equipment, including the POS system, Frequent Diner, Gift Card and Credit Card terminals, as well as telephones and Open Table
- Understand and follow the food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions
