Job Summary
Greet guests promptly, take orders accurately, and process payments while preparing coffee, espresso, tea, and light food items according to recipes. Operate espresso machines, grinders, and brewers safely, and serve pastries and snacks in a timely manner. Maintain a clean, organized front counter and beverage station, completing opening, closing, and side-work tasks including restocking and sanitizing. Follow food safety standards and resolve basic service issues professionally. This role requires early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday availability with a willingness to cross-train for various positions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Food handler permit or ability to obtain one, if required by local regulations
- Previous barista, café, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math and cash-handling skills
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn drink recipes, equipment use, and service standards
- Comfortable standing for extended periods
- Lifting light to moderate supplies
- Work in a busy customer-facing environment
