Coffee Host/ Barista

Job Summary
Greet guests promptly, take orders accurately, and process payments while preparing coffee, espresso, and other beverages according to recipes. Serve pastries and snacks in a timely manner, operate espresso machines and grinders safely, and maintain a clean, stocked front counter and dining area. Answer customer questions, offer menu recommendations, and resolve service issues professionally. Complete opening, closing, and side-work tasks including restocking, cleaning, and sanitizing while following food safety standards. Work collaboratively with teammates to support smooth service during busy periods, with availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Food handler permit or ability to obtain one, if required by local regulations
- Previous barista, café, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math and cash-handling skills
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn drink recipes, equipment use, and service standards
- This position may require early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday availability
- Candidates should be comfortable standing for extended periods
