Job Summary
Greet guests promptly, take orders accurately, and process payments while preparing coffee, espresso, tea, and other beverages according to recipes. Serve pastries and snacks in a timely manner, maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked front counter and beverage station. Operate espresso machines, grinders, and brewers safely, answer customer questions, and resolve basic service issues professionally. Complete opening, closing, and side-work tasks including restocking, cleaning, and sanitizing while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. Work collaboratively with teammates during busy periods, cross-train for various positions, and maintain reliable attendance. Early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays required; standing for extended periods and lifting light to moderate supplies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Food handler permit or ability to obtain one, if required by local regulations
- Previous barista, café, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math and cash-handling skills
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn drink recipes, equipment use, and service standards
- Early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday availability
- Comfortable standing for extended periods
- Lifting light to moderate supplies
