Coding Specialist - CPC Required

Job Summary
Coding Specialist responsible for coding and/or validation of charges for complex service lines with advanced proficiency in surgical or specialty coding. Duties include chart review, CPT/ICD-10 assignment, documentation interpretation, charge capture and verification, ensuring charges align with patient records, encounters, and dates of service; maintain compliance with AMA and Medicare guidelines; educate clinical staff on documentation for revenue optimization; perform outpatient clinical documentation improvement reviews as needed; maintain productivity and regulatory compliance; collaborate with PBS on denial coordination and appeals; Epic experience preferred. CPC license required; Neurosurgery experience highly preferred. Position is full-time with day shift and remote work option.
Required Qualifications
- CPC license is REQUIRED
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant coding and charge control work experience in a Hospital and/or Physician Practice environment
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, revenue codes and modifiers
