Job Summary
Code high acuity inpatient accounts and/or technical outpatient accounts including Observation, Radiation Oncology, Chemotherapy Infusion, Cardiac Cath/Electrophysiology, and Interventional Radiology to support Revenue Cycle goals. Utilize International Classification of Disease (ICD-10-CM and PCS), Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS), Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), and other coding references to ensure accurate coding. Requires 3-5 years of experience and one or more certifications such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, COC, CPC, CCA, CCC, CIRCC, or CCVTC. This role is part of Cooper University Health Care's team in South Jersey, where professionals continuously discover clinical innovations and enhanced access to the latest facilities, equipment, technologies, and research protocols.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years required
- High School/GED required
- One or more of the following: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, COC, CPC, CCA, CCC, CIRCC, CCVTC and/or any of the Core Credentials or specialty credential of AAPC or AHIMA required
