Coder II - MUST Reside in Colorado

Coder II reviews medical record documentation to abstract and assign diagnoses, procedures, and modifiers for statistical classification and reimbursement purposes; performs coding assignments under supervision, assists with training of coders, maintains coding credentials, ensures confidentiality of patient information, and participates in departmental coding meetings and guideline reviews. Also utilizes electronic coding references, develops desk procedures for assigned areas, and supports ongoing coding training and education within a mission-driven health system. Shift: Days; Location: Denver Health, Colorado; required credentials CPC or CCS and 1-3 years coding experience.
