Job Summary
Join OrthoMed Anesthesia as a Coder/Biller responsible for assigning appropriate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for anesthesia procedures. Review medical records to ensure accurate coding and submit clean claims to insurance companies while managing the billing cycle. Stay updated on coding guidelines and collaborate with clinical staff to ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulations. Requires CPC or CCS certification and 2+ years of relevant experience, alongside strong coding knowledge and analytical skills.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification required
- 2+ years of experience in medical coding and billing, preferably in anesthesia or a related surgical specialty
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with anesthesia billing guidelines and modifiers
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and medical billing software
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
