Review and validate final diagnoses and procedures from practicing providers to ensure accuracy and completeness. Accurately assign ICD-9-CDM, ICD-10-CDM, HCPCS, and CPT codes for hospital procedures to secure proper reimbursement. Adhere to Medical Records standards and objectives while managing clerical duties and all assigned HIM department tasks. Support indirect patient care for a population ranging from newborns to geriatrics. Requires strong organizational and computer skills.
