Job Summary
Code Welder II in a full-time role at L&L Fabrication's Greeley Weld Shop. Weld both Non-Code and Code articles to quality, using GMAW, FCAW, SMAW per WPS, with readiness to support in fitting and team development. Performs welding tasks with safety, accuracy, and adherence to ASME vessel shop standards (U & R stamps), including NDT readiness and multi-process capabilities (Oxy-fuel, Plasma, Saw, Mag-Drill, Grinder). Maintains equipment and workspace, participates in process improvements, and supports safe, efficient fabrication with forklift operation and collaboration within the team. Requires Code Welding Experience aligned to ASME Sec. 8/9, B31.3, AWS D1.1, AWS D17.1, reading/writing instructions, and ability to meet 3G/4G welding tests. Required Qualifications
- Code Welding Experience (ASME Sec. 8/9, B31.3, AWS D1.1, AWS D17.1)

- Weld Testing Requirements (3G requirement only): 3G Plate Test - GMAW Vert Up on 3/4 Plate (GMAW root / GMAW-P or FCAW hot and Cap)
- 4G Plate Test – GMAW OH on 3/4” Plate (GMAW root / GMAW-P or FCAW hot and Cap)
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead
- Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work
- Must be able to see details at close range
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at any time, 50 pounds regularly, 100 infrequently
