Job Summary
Enforce city health, zoning, and business licensing ordinances; coordinate with neighborhood groups, law enforcement, and other city departments to identify problems and address issues. Patrol neighborhoods, respond to resident complaints, prosecute in Administrative Court, and provide information to residents through handouts and community meetings. Maintain accurate records using appropriate hardware and software, and operate city vehicles safely. Requires flexible scheduling (full-time, with occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays) and a focus on public safety and community service.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED
- Must possess a valid State of Utah Driver’s License, or have the ability to obtain one
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- Experience or knowledge of relevant City ordinances pertaining to enforcement
- Ability to operate city vehicles safely
