Job Summary
Conduct field inspections and investigate complaints to enforce municipal codes regarding property maintenance, zoning, signage, environmental concerns, and abandoned vehicles. Issue notices of violation, citations, and stop-work orders while communicating corrective actions to property owners, contractors, and the public. Document case evidence with photographs and reports in VertexPlans, then prepare and present cases for testimony as required. Submit weekly timesheet reports to the supervisor in accordance with company procedures. This part-time role offers $30–$40 per hour with a 401(k) match, reporting to a Regional Building Official in Houston, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Code Enforcement
- Registered Code Enforcement Officer with the State of Texas
