Job Summary
The Cocktail Server is responsible for greeting guests, taking beverage and food orders, serving cocktails, and ensuring outstanding service to promote guest satisfaction. Key responsibilities include monitoring guest alcohol consumption, coordinating with bartenders and kitchen staff, and completing side work. Candidates must have at least 1 year of serving experience in a fast-paced venue, knowledge of drink offerings, and strong communication skills. This position is part-time and involves handling cash and tips.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of serving in a fast paced food and beverage venue, preferably nightclub environment.
- Must meet state legal age requirements.
- Courteous, pleasant, and good natured.
- Effective communication skills with guests and staff.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and credit.
- Ability to handle, carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments preferred.
- Fluent in English; other languages preferred.
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.
